IMG_1047Well, here it is September already and we all know what that means....school starts!  Actually, Jake started the beginning of August, but most other places start after Labor Day.  It is with mixed emotion that I tell you Jace started preschool!  He is going to a part-time in-home preschool 3 days a week for 3 hours a day.  There are only 4 other kids in his class and his teacher's name is Mrs. Jeanne.  He absolutely loves it!  He has a backpack and even got a couple new things to wear to school.  I thought he'd be worried on the first day, but I was so wrong.  He was totally fine and on his second day he wouldn't even hold my hand on the way to the door.  He looks so grown up dragging his little backpack up the walkway.  My baby is a big boy now.  :o(  I know it's a good thing for him and we believe this will be a good stepping stone for him to go a bigger school eventually or even kindergarten.  That still doesn't make it any easy to watch my little one growing up so quickly!  I even just had to buy him a bigger car seat for Grandma's car.  He's still taking swimming lessons and doing great!  A couple of weeks ago he was swimming the length of the pool on his back.  It was amazing!  Of course we didn't have our camera with us and the next couple of times when we did he was with other instructors (make up classes) and he didn't seem to be getting it.  However, last week he was back on track and of course...no camera again!  So, I've posted another little snip it video of him doing it, but the best one is yet to come.  Jace will be starting soccer next month, so I'm sure I'll have a better video by then when I post about him playing soccer.  Anyway, go check out his first day of school pics and the little video of him swimming.  Speaking of swimming, our pool has dropped in temperature to the low 80's.  I know that doesn't sound too cold, but believe me it is compared to what we're used to!  The temperature outside dropping is the cause, but we're not complaining.  This time of year is why we love living in Arizona!  We hope you all are well...until next time!
