It's been quite a while since we've had a post and to say the least: things have changed. We now live in Gilbert Arizona! I now work at GoDaddy.com and Jacqui works at Linear Technology. Grandma & Grandpa Burlingame are a big part of our life now and they are helping us settle into AZ. On this coming Monday, Grandma will start watching Jace full time (which I'm really excited about). I think it's time to change the format of the blog a bit. I'd like to change it from Jace's perscpective to Jacqui and mine. The main reason being is that I have a lot of daily thoughts about living and loving Jace but it just doesn't come out right when I have to apply Jace's perspective. It's time to use Dad and Mom's perspective and I hope that Jace will read this 20 years from now and see how much he is loved (documented evidence!). If you're subscribed, stay tuned for more frequent updates and a gaggle of pictures that we've been storing up. :)

Here it is November already! Where has the time gone? In just a little over a month I will be two years old! Can you believe it?! Mommy says she can't believe how big I am already! I still don't say much, but I understand everything! I'm doing okay at daycare, but still prefer being at home with Mommy.

So far this fall we've been busy, busy, busy! In October we went to the Sauvie Island pumpkin patch with my Uncle Cody, Aunt Annie and cousins Jimmy & Joey. It was rainy and cold, so we didn't stay long. We had a good time and got some pumpkins though. We got to take a hayride and go in the animal barn. Daddy forgot to put batteries in the camera, so we only have the pictures that Aunt Annie took.

We carved our pumpkins the weekend before Halloween. Daddy helped me carve mine, but I took the guts out myself. I love horses, so we carved a horse on mine. Jake messed his up so he just went crazy with the new electric knife Mommy bought. Gavin's was a skinny pumpkin that he carved a face on and Mommy made a face up with a tongue sticking out!

On Halloween I went trick-or-treating at Mommy's work in the afternoon. Mommy was dressed up as a funky witch and I was a monkey. Everyone said how cute I was and I got lots of candy. Later that night we went to a few houses around our neighborhood, but then came home because it was really windy and cold. Then Daddy took Gavin out with some friends while Mommy and I gave out candy. Jake sat outside on the porch with his friends to scare people because Mommy said he is too old to go trick-or-treating. I love candy already and have learned how to sneek it just like Brah Brah (Jake) does. :o)

It's been a super busy summer! Mommy hasn't had a chance to write in awhile. Here it is August already and summer is about over! I'm growing so fast and learning a lot.  I'm still taking swimming lessons and doing good.  I think we're going to take a break for Fall though.

The first part of the summer was consumed by baseball. We took a trip to Spokane, WA and Redding, Calif. Poppy and Grandma Cheryl met us in Redding to watch a couple of Brah, Brah's (Jake) games.  It was good to see them.  We went to the Fourth of July parade in downtown Hillsboro and Mommy bought Daddy a new motorcycle for his birthday. Grandma Olsen and Aunt Mardel came to visit for the weekend from Gig Harbor. We went to the zoo with them and went and fed some ducks. It was a super good time!

I got to ride on an airplane to Arizona with Mommy this month. I was a really good boy! We went swimming with my friend Christopher and Mommy's friend Aida. I had a good time. Grandma & Papa went swimming with me too while I was there. I swam A LOT!

Well, I'm 20 months old now. I weigh about 26lbs and have pretty much all my teeth. I still don't talk much, but I understand everything. I've already found out about what time out means. I also went potty twice on my potty chair, but I don't quite get that whole idea yet. I'm learning and changing so much every day! Keep checking back to see my latest updates and don't forget the picture gallery on the left. Keep smiling everyone!  :o)

For Easter we went to Gig Harbor and spent it with Uncle Gino, Aunt Mardel and Grandma "O". It was a really nice time and I got a big new towel that they made me. The Easter bunny left me stuff in my Easter basket too. It was really cool, especially the jelly beans!

Then Grandma Burlingame came and stayed for a week while Daddy went to Microsoft for work. He was only suppose to be gone one week, but ended up being gone two weeks. While Daddy was gone I decide to start walking for real. Then Mommy went and bought me a little basketball hoop for outside since I always want to play with Brother(Jake)on his.

I'm in swimming lessons still and I'm getting pretty good. We go underwater a lot now, but Mommy has to still hold onto me for the most part. Other than that we've just been spending a lot of time out at the baseball field. I'm even starting to get a little tan even though Mom puts 50spf on me. It's a new spray kind, so I don't mind her putting it on.

I also got my first bloody lip. I fell off my trike and face planted on the driveway. Mom says I actually did pretty well with it. I only cried a little bit and I even let her put ice on my lip for a while. My knees are scraped up now and bruised since I'm walking all over the place and falling. That's it for now!

This spring break we stayed in Oregon. Daddy took a day off and we went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium! It was a long day, but it was fun!

We got up really early because it's like a 3 hour drive from our house to Newport. I took a nap on the way, so it didn't seem so long. We got there around 11:30am and ate the lunch Mommy had packed for us. The line to get in wasn't very long, so we were lucky.

Sister was really excited because they were having a special turtle exhibit. There were all sorts of different ones. There were also 2 types of jellyfish that were pretty cool looking. Seals were swimming upside down and birds making weird noises. We walked through 2 glass tunnels, one with fish and the other with sharks! I even got to touch some sea creatures.

When we were done there Mommy stopped at The Devils Punch Bowl, but I stayed in the car with Mommy. In Lincoln City we went to the Candy Store and everyone got to choose something. We went the long way home looking for somewhere to eat, but didn't find anything. The weather was terrible on the way home and Mommy could barely see the road through the rain! We ended up just going to a restaurant near home for dinner. All in all it was a great day!

Well, I had my 15 month old doctor appointment this month. I weigh 22.6lbs(25%), am 31in long(50%) and am still above the 97% for head size. I say Momma all the time now and even say MY Momma. Especially when Brother tries to hug and kiss her. I say other things too, but they are random and not as often. I've started walking a few steps, but pretty much still just crawl. I'm getting my 12th tooth right now and am pretty much sleeping through the night. That makes Mommy really happy! I'm a picky eater and what I'll eat varies daily. My favorite is bananas and what Mommy calls fake(processed) cheese, thanks to Daddy. We share some almost every night when he gets home from work.  I also love gummies(fruit snacks)and cookies just like Mommy! I'm still in love with Dora the Explorer and my new favorite thing is my Lego truck with big Legos. Other loves are music, singing and dancing. Until next time... :o)

Mommy never wrote about how our Christmas and New Year's was. Well, actually she did but when she finished writing it, it had timed out and wouldn't let her save it. So, better late then never right?!

Christmas was great! I got to open lots of presents and my Grandma & Papa Burlingame were here from AZ. Everyone seemed really happy with their gifts and just hanging out with family. I'm pretty good at the opening presents thing since my birthday was just a few weeks before. We went to church Christmas Eve and just stayed home the next day and had a nice dinner. I got a really cool wagon from that Santa guy and a walk a long car from Grandma & Papa.

For New Year's Eve we went up to Naselle, WA where most of Daddy's family lives. They were having a "Strange" Family Christmas party. We stayed with Daddy's cousin Joel and his wife Stacey. Most of the people at the party had never seen me before or hardly ever, so it was nice to meet everyone! I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed though. Too many new people at once for me. Mommy & Daddy seemed to have a great time though. Welp, that's the skinny of how we ended 2005 and welcomed 2006!

On December 14th I turned 1 year old! Can you believe I'm one already?! Mommy says she can't and it makes her a little sad that I'm so big already. I have to admit the time has flown by! One day I'm in some dark warm place, the next I'm being told no, no all the time (what ever that means.)

On my real birthday we just stayed home and had cake after dinner. Grandma & Papa Burlingame drove up from AZ to be here for it and Christmas. I did a really good job of getting cake everywhere. I got good practice on opening presents too.

Then on the weekend we had my birthday party with all my friends. Even my cousins Jimmy & Joseph were there from Naselle, WA. I got lots of really cool presents AND more cake!!! This time actually got a whole cake to myself! Again, I did a great job of really enjoying it and getting it everywhere. I had a great time.

A few days later I decided that I'm a big boy now, so I refuse to eat baby food or drink from sippy cups. I will however drink out of a straw though. I also will only take a bottle at night and I drink whole milk now instead of formula. Daddy is happy about that because it's a lot cheaper than formula. :o)

The last thing is that I had my 12 month check up. I weigh 21.11lbs(30%), 30in long(50%) and my head is still above the 97%. I'm sure it's because it's so full of brains! I had to get 3 shots too and they made me sick. I had to get the measles, chickenpox, and the flu shot. I got symptoms from all of them and I had a slight ear infection. Now I'm getting a bunch of teeth, so I'm still pretty grumpy. I have 7 so far with at least one on the way.
