IMG_0503It’s been a whole month since I last wrote and Jace has been to the pediatric dentist for his final visit. The dentist wasn’t so impressed with the progress this time. He had hoped that front tooth would have moved more since our last visit, but no luck. The decision was made to just let the teeth be. Any caps or anything would just break off due to Jace’s bite. So as long as they don’t turn color or start causing pain for some reason, we’re just going to leave them alone.

Jace started riding his trike again finally, he loves it! He can actually reach the pedals now. This caused another little accident though. Jace was out back with Brent riding around the patio when his wheel caught the edge of the pool while he was backing up and flipped him in with the trike on top of him. Brent was right there and got him out. He didn’t even swallow any water because he remembered to hold his breath, but both of them were a little shaken up.

Mother’s Day was very nice this year. Jace made me a bunch of things. At Grandma’s he made me a stepping stone with his hand prints on it. He also made me a can cushy (those foam things to keep a pop can cold). He stuck all sorts of foam stickers on it and made me a card with foam horses all over it. Then at his other daycare he painted me a ceramic butterfly. Jake also made me something this year, a wood stepping stool. It’s already gotten plenty of use!

We started Jace up in swimming lessons again and here the parent doesn’t go in with them. This was news to me, so our first lesson I showed up with my suit on…talk about embarrassing! I wasn’t sure Jace would go for swimming with a stranger, but he did great! His teacher’s name is Brooke and she’s really sweet and good with him. He’s also started talking a lot more, but pronunciation could use some help. He goes pee pee standing up now, which is super! Jace still loves his kitty and loves singing in the car. He weighs about 32 lbs and is 37 ½ inches tall. That’s all for now!
